In a damning statement released today, The Elders condemn the ‘deafening global silence’ on Sri Lanka. With no real progress on reconciliation and government critics experiencing ‘terrifying’ persecution, The Elders call for a tougher response by the international community lest other states are encouraged to act in a similar way.
